Student Scheduling Assistant

Student Scheduling Assistant works with CPM staff to create and manage web-registration web sites and assist with event scheduling and planning for the university community and external clients. The Student Scheduling Assistant will help to market the web-registration system, build registration sites, produce and process deposits of revenue collected, create and distribute list of registrants, review scheduling requests, assign spaces, assign resources and help to plan events. The Student Scheduling Assistant will be directly supervised, trained, and evaluated by the CPM Scheduling Coordinator and will work closely with the professional staff member in that position.

The Student Scheduling Assistant has the following responsibilities:

  • Work with clients to collect information for registration websites.
  • Assist in the development of individual web-registration sites.
  • Facilitate the depositing of funds collected by the registration websites.
  • Update and maintain registration websites.
  • Create and distribute updated reports on conference registrants and their status.
  • Assist in assessment of the web-registration system by soliciting clients and users.
  • Review requests through the university's enterprise level scheduling system (Resource 25).
  • Assist in assigning spaces and resources as requested.
  • Communicate with a wide range of internal and external clients to bring about successful outcomes.
  • Attend regularly scheduled staff meetings, workshops and training sessions.
  • Follow policies and procedures of CPM staff and policies of The Catholic University of America.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by CPM staff.

Hours

Potential for up to 19.5 hours per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled as a CUA undergraduate OR graduate student.
  • Availability to work up to 19.5 hours per week during normal business hours.
  • Maintain at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Highly developed organizational skills.
  • Reliable and dependable.
  • Prior customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working with software packages like: Microsoft Excel and/or Content Manager.
  • Experience with managing some financial activities, such as creating deposit tickets.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite.

Remuneration

  • $11 per hour
