Co-curricular Event Spaces: Heritage Hall, Great Rooms and Caldwell Auditorium

ECS will continue to follow the same event timing standards that existed prior to COVID-19, specifically regarding the amount of time needed in between events in the same space. However, we require at least one hour in between events during the Fall semester. The Assistant Director for Scheduling and Event Planning will continue to review event requests for University spaces via 25Live Pro.

Cleaning and Sanitizing:

Custodial staff will be on campus Monday through Friday from 5:30am to 10:30pm and Saturday and Sunday from 7:30am to 10:30pm. They will perform increased touch-point cleaning and increased frequency of disinfecting common areas such as restrooms and lounges. The Custodial staff will reference 25Live reports received daily from ECS. FAS will sanitize spaces after an event setup is complete. SAF Cleaning Services (SAF) will provide the daily cleaning services in all non-residential buildings from 11 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Sunday night to Friday morning.

Fresh air flow in the rooms:

Air changes and filtration are being addressed by the Facilities Maintenance and Operations and the Power Plant in accordance with each building's unique system. However, according to current CDC guidelines, air filtration adjustments are not required for existing event scheduling policies.

Sanitizing Equipment:

FAS has provided cleaning supplies in centrally located common areas in each building and installed hand sanitizers on all levels in all buildings. Individuals may borrow these supplies if they would like to supplement the Custodial staff’s daily touch point cleaning.

ECS will handle the cleaning of AV equipment in these spaces before and after each event. Equipment sanitization during events will be provided on a case by case basis.

FAS and ECS will not provide sanitizing wipes to individual departments.

Traffic flow:

Traffic flow diagrams will be available to the public once they are finalized by FAS and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS).  FAS will then place floor signs in each building to direct traffic according to the diagrams.

Capacity and Room Layouts:
